It's expensive and it takes quite a few visits to each nightclub to actually start a romantic relationship. Oh yeah and remember to actually invest time and money into the 'escorts' on a regular basis if you actually want to date them. Beast also gets good deeper into its tech tree, although I'd say it's the hardest of the four styles to master (since it slows you down and involves letting enemies hit you, in place of a normal guard) all of the later abilities in your skill tree require like 50-80 bars of XP.ĭon't sleep on Rush Mode. also, keep an OP weapon - the kind it's really expensive to fix, like rainbow umbrella - in your inventory just for situations where you're in a small space with lots of enemiesĭon't run from fights. everyone starts carrying guns including several major bosses (and no there is really no other way to deal with being shot than mashing X every damn time). When heading toward the final chapters, wear as much bullet defense as you can. i found it was easier to leave the racing substories until endgame when you have found or earned most of the car's better parts. Incidentally, when komaki sicks majima on you, you can technically win through sheer patience and attrition, but the game fully expects you to lose, so don't waste healing items on the fight.Įach pocket fighter race has a specific kit loadout that is more or less mandatory to win. (Alternatively if you hate the Majima Everywhere system, you can leave the pylon and he'll never bother you again.) This will also stall the Komaki substory since he uses Majima to train you at one point. If you don't interact with it, he will never pop up anywhere else for the rest of the game. Majima Everywhere hits a point very early on where he can only be found under a massive shaking pylon outside of Club Sega. When the girl on the street offers to buy you a drink, accept, and when they keep asking you to drink it, keep saying no. it's a bit random but every so often a substory will dump a ton of XP or money. Whenever you reach a new chapter, equip the item that shows where new substories are and just get them out of the way. Try to only eat meals you haven't tried before (finishing the menu of a restaurant gets you Points for bob's items) The substory dialogue in some cases is even better than the main story, don't skip it the game doesn't do a great job of telling you where to go sometimes. also grab all the free DLC stuff like the "Fun Packs" and whatnot.ĭon't feel ashamed to look up guides for substories or locations of things. Get the Yakuza Training Gear from Bob, it increases all 3 stats by 11 and strengthens your throws.

The first boss sucks so much it might make you reconsider continuing, but don't worry since none of the other bosses are even half as irritating (except when guns are involved) I beat this game on PS4, and here are some of my tips:
